The Houston Bar Association is a non-profit organization devoted to bettering the legal field by developing an ever-higher standard of representation. The organization is committed to education for both plaintiffs and lawyers. Members volunteer for community projects for more than 45,000 hours a year.
The Texas Trial Lawyers Association is dedicated to protecting the rights of Texas families through legislation and continuing education and training for practicing attorneys. Members volunteer their time and effort to ensure that plaintiffs continue to have their voices heard in court in a changing legal landscape.

The Houston Trial Lawyers Association is a professional network of attorneys who contribute to the practice of civil trial law locally and on a state and national level. Super Lawyers® Rising Stars™ by Thompson Reuters, is part of the same family of publications as Super Lawyers, and in fact they have the same process for determination. However, inclusion in Rising Stars™ adds two other requirements: lawyers must be under 40 years old or have been in practice for less than 10 years.

Avvo is a rating service, and high Avvo ratings are an objective way of evaluating an attorney’s reputation among colleagues and past clients. It is accurate in that the Avvo rating cannot be affected by “membership dues” or biases. The rating takes into account past client satisfaction as well as recent results.
