We understand the financial burden that a legal education can place on students and their families, and we are committed to supporting the next generation of legal professionals.

Scholarship Amount: $2500 | Application Deadline: 08/31/2024

Who is this scholarship for?

This scholarship is open to current high school seniors who are planning to enroll in a pre-law program or a related field such as political science or social justice at an accredited college or university.

Applicant Submission Materials:

• Applicants must submit a personal essay 
• Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.4
• Applicants must demonstrate financial need
• Applicants must be a current high school senior

Selection Process:

Scholarship applications will be reviewed by a committee of Bailey Cowan Heckaman attorneys. We will be looking for students who demonstrate a strong academic record, a commitment to public service, and a passion for law or social justice.

Essay Requirements:

• 500 words or less
• Subject: Why you are interested in pursuing a career in law or social justice. 
• Highlight your academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and any relevant life experiences that have shaped your interest in this field
