Camp Bailey

Partner

K. Camp Bailey is a founding member of the law firm. His practice is primarily devoted to managing the law firm and its various dockets and projects.

Education & Legal Career

After undergraduate and law school at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, Camp accepted a position as a law clerk to Judge Robert M. Parker of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. During his term at the Court of Appeals which oversees federal appeals from Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi, he assisted Judge Parker in a multitude of important legal cases, including several that were ultimately resolved by the Supreme Court of the United States. His clerkship gave him an incredible exposure to a wide manner of legal issues of federal importance and on the interworkings of the federal court system.

After completing his Federal clerkship, Camp returned to Houston to work at the law firm of Williams Bailey representing working men and women that had been unnecessarily injured through occupational exposures against some of the largest corporations in the world. Camp managed the firm’s premises liability docket prosecuting thousands of cases against unsafe working conditions at various premises around the country. Camp was also part of the trial team that tried the only individual’s cigarette trial ever to make it to trial in the State of Texas. Finally, Camp helped WB successfully represent thousands of Fen-Phen users who had suffered heart injuries as a result of their ingestion of the dangerous drug combination.

Part Founder of Bailey Cowan Heckaman PLLC In June 2005, Camp, his father Ken Bailey, and Mike Perrin started Bailey Perrin Bailey to continue representing victims harmed by others with a focus on pharmaceutical litigation and other complex litigation. BCH, now known as Bailey Cowan Heckaman PLLC, has earned the reputation as one of a handful of firms throughout the country that has the resolve, resources, and experience to take on hard litigations all the way to their successful conclusion. Camp has served a number of leadership roles in pharmaceutical cases including serving as National Co-Lead Counsel for Plaintiffs in Federal MDL 1769: In Re Seroquel Products Liability Litigation, which successfully resolved tens of thousands of individual Seroquel cases. Today, Camp works closely with BCH’s pharmaceutical and asbestos litigation teams to ensure that the same level of commitment and zealous representation that BCH has become known for continues into the future.
