Glyphosate & Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma
The World Health Organization, the International Agency for Research on Cancer, and growing research have deemed glyphosate a probable human carcinogen. It is most strongly associated with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and hematopoeitic cancers of the lymphatic system.
Monsanto, which discovered glyphosate's potential as an herbicide in 1970, has for decades allegedly engaged in an unscrupulous, profit-driven campaign to make glyphosate the world's most popular herbicide; used by everyone from homeowners and employees to farmers and industrial agricultural businesses.
Despite the science and claims from leading researchers, Monsanto still sells Roundup, and continues to claim it poses no risks. Experts, juries, and Americans don't agree, and have called attention to the many accusations Monsanto faces as signs that it knew about the dangers of glyphosate and Roundup, including:

Roundup Cancer Claims Update
In mid-May 2019, Monsanto was handed its third major loss in ongoing litigation over Roundup when a Northern California jury awarded over $2 billion in damages to a married couple that claimed their use of the glyphosate-based weed killer for 30+ years caused their non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
The May verdict is one of the first in what may be a long and arduous legal battle. Monsanto, now owned by Bayer, was previously ordered to pay $80M in damages in March to a California farmer who claimed Roundup caused his NHL, as well as $289M in damages to a school district groundskeeper who claimed his long-term use of Roundup and another Ranger Pro, another Monsanto herbicide, caused his fatal caner.
There remain over 13,000 pending claims against Monsanto involving Roundup, its other glyphosate herbicides, and cancer still pending in the state and federal courts across the nation.
Monsanto’s Time Has Come: Seeking Justice
Jury verdicts thus far have been substantial, and they have additionally included large awards for punitive damages, which are a special form of damages awarded when defendants’ conduct is egregious enough to warrant additional punishment. It’s a sign that juries, comprised of average every-day citizens, find Monsanto’s conduct, unscrupulous tactics, and prioritization of profits over people inexcusable – and that many are in agreement Monsanto’s time to face justice has come.
